
In the C-segment of the auto industry, Toyota is definitely a front runner in the global automobile world, and 2013 will see a new entry from Toyota in this segment of the industry by the name of Toyota Auris. The 2013 Toyota Auris will be a C-segment hatchback for the global auto world, though I would reckon that this would become a sedan by the time it reaches our shores. And considering that Toyota is all-set to release the 2013 Toyota Altis here in Malaysia next year, we might be seeing probably the front portion of the Auris being combined with a sedan back, you never know!
The Auris is actually the Corolla, the hatchback version of it of course, and it definitely looks good if you refer to the first impression. The Auris has sharp design lines on the outside, and from what we hear it will make its official global debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. We can see some features from the Prius on the front portion of the vehicle as well as its sides, while some Lexus cues can be seen on the rear portion of the Auris. There will be two versions of the car being made available, the normal Auris as well as the hybrid Auris that will appeal to the environmental-friendly drivers out there.
The new Auris is longer and lower than the model that is replaces, while the luggage area gets an additional 6 litres of space as well (totalling to 360 litres of space). The cabin area is very sporty and definitely has not compromised comfort or class. It will come with the optional panoramic sunroof called the Skyview', though be prepared to pay quite a bit for this feature. Satin silver finishing has been added to location such as meter surrounds, centre console and transmission tunnel, and you get a leather-trimmed dashboard if you opt for the high-spec version.
